The College of Business at University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) has an AACSB-accredited MBA Program with coursework that can be completed entirely online. The Executive MBA (EMBA) consists of 36 credit hours (12 courses) and it is offered as a two-year cohort beginning in the Fall semester. Each course for the program runs for 12 weeks. Course examples include Production/Operations Management, Managing Organizations in a Global Economy, Personal Branding, Strategic Management for Executives, Economics of the Firm, Management and Organizational Science, Information and Communications Technology in Organizations, and Seminar in Managerial Accounting.
Each course for the UNR Online EMBA has at least one proctored exam, taken through ProctorU, an online proctoring service, or in the 365 Learning Office. Because the EMBA is rigorous degree program that requires a significant time commitment, students can expect to spend at least 10–12 hours each week on course assignments, discussions, and research throughout three semesters each year (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
The UNR EMBA is open to professionals with a bachelor's degree in any major from an accredited four-year institution. Five or more years of professional work experience is required beyond undergraduate studies. UNR EMBA students must complete their degree in two years.
