The School of Business Administration at University of Dayton (UD) offers an AACSB-accredited Online MBA program known as [email protected]. Students in the program will participate in Live Online Classes, view video lectures, and work on case studies and interactive group projects. In-person immersions and comprehensive student services round out the program that may be completed in as few as 12 to 15 months.
[email protected] students will take 15 credits of foundation courses, 12 credits of core courses, six credits of elective courses, three credits of integrated ethics, six credits of integrated strategy, and three credits of immersions (1.5 each). Sample courses for the program include Operational Effectiveness, Information Systems and Business Decisions, Organizational Behavior, Corporate Finance, Business Intelligence, and Marketing Management.
Note that two in-person immersions are required and take place at the UD campus and another location TDB. For Fall 2017, students will travel to Northern California to explore winery operations. The theme for the 2017 UD campus immersion will be Servant Leadership. This immersion teaches students how to use their knowledge to improve the world around them.
The Villanova School of Business (VSB) at Villanova University offers a 48 credit hour Online MBA Program that consists of 21 courses taken over six semesters. The program requires “one intensive residency” in the first or second semester of the program. The campus-based “Leadership Challenge” is a three-day residency that “provides an environment for students to engage in group work and begin to develop a learning community with their classmates,” says the school. An optional second residency is available as well.
Known as “The Global Practicum,” the optional residency features an elective immersion in Dubai, United Emirates; Sydney, Australia; Milan Italy; Belgium and Poland, The European Union, or Shanghai and Beijing, The People’s Republic of China. A domestic option is available for students who are unable to travel.
While students are required to visit the campus once, all coursework for this AACSB-accredited program is delivered online.
The Heider College of Business at Creighton University offers a 33-credit (11-class) MBA that may be completed entirely online. The program takes place over 11 eight-week terms, which allows students to finish in two years and eight weeks. Four specializations are available and include Investments, Information Technology Management, Accounting, and Leadership. In addition to choosing a specialization, students have the option to combine campus-based and online courses or complete a dual degree program, which is also available 100% online. Dual options include the MBA/Master of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management (MSAPM) or MBA/MSAPM, and the Master of Science in Business Intelligence and Analytics (MS-BIA) or MBA/MS-BIA.
As part of the Heider College of Business, the Online MBA Program is AACSB accredited.
The Kania School of Management (KSOM) at the University of Scranton offers a 36 credit hour Online MBA Program with optional specializations in Accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Healthcare Management, Human Resources, International Business and Operations Management. A General Management MBA is available for students seeking a broader degree and Online Certificates in Supply Chain Management, Health Administration, Health Informatics and ERP are available.
This AACSB-accredited program features one-on-one interaction with professors and classmates via email, online discussion, and virtual meetings. There are no required residencies, so the program and all of its components may be completed 100% online. Students can expect to complete the Online MBA Program in just two years “at a comfortable pace of one course per term.” Students also have the option to complete the program sooner by taking more than one course per term, with advisor approval.
The KSOM Online MBA Program requires just three years of professional or supervisory work experience for acceptance and does not require any entrance exams like the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
The Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University offers a 33 credit hour MBA that allows students to complete foundation, gateway, core, and elective courses entirely online. The program may be completed over eight or 15-week semesters, with each semester broken into halves. Students may choose from ten majors such as Marketing, International Business, Finance, Health and Medical Services, or The Data Intelligent MBA.
Sample course offerings for this AACSB-accredited program include Global Revolutions in Business, Sustainability: A Business Perspective, Excellence in Organizations, Health Care: A Global Perspective, Business Analytics, Ethical Practices in Business, Marketing Strategy, and Shareholder Value Management.
St. Mary’s College of California (SMC) is home to the first Executive MBA (EMBA) Program in the Bay Area. The Hybrid EMBA may be completed in just 18 months and requires alternate Saturdays on campus, along with bi-weekly live web conferences. The program, which is offered in the Bay Area cities of Moraga and San Ramon, is centered on cohort-based collaborative learning and it highlights three broad areas including Analysis and Critical Thinking, Broad Functional Knowledge, and Responsible Leadership.
Students in the program have two concentration options including Entrepreneurship and Business Analytics. The SMC hybrid EMBA Program is AACSB accredited.
Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University offers an Online MBA Program “built in the heart of Silicon Valley.” Designed to help students become “Silicon Valley Professionals (SVPs),” the program highlights a curriculum based in “innovation and responsibility,” says the school. Sample courses for the program include Doing Business in Silicon Valley, Leading People and Organizations, Ethics for Managers, Strategy, Analysis, Design, and Management of Enterprise Platforms, and Marketing is Everything. The program also highlights 28 units of free electives that allow students to focus in one or more areas.
The Leavey Online MBA requires two intensives, where students will meet their peers and experience Santa Clara University in person. These are the only two campus requirements. Otherwise, online students will take courses whenever and wherever, but they will learn from the same professors who teach the on-campus program.
Leavey School of Business is AACSB-accredited and is currently in the process of seeking approval for the Online MBA program from its institutional accrediting body, the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
The College of Business & Economics at Regis University offers a 36 credit hour Online MBA Program that highlights a General MBA track or career-specific specialization such as Finance and Accounting, Health Industry Leadership, Marketing, Operations Management or Strategic Management. Students may choose a dual specialization with just one course delivery format or combine them to meet their “personal needs and learning style,” says the school. Courses are taught in eight-week terms with start dates in January, March, May, June, August, and October.
Regis University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), one of six regional higher education institutional accreditors in the United States.
DeSales University offers a part-time MBA Program that may be completed entirely online. Offered through the Division of Business, the program has an open enrollment policy that allows students to start the program at any point throughout the year. A degree in business is not required as foundation courses are offered for students who need a basic understanding of business principles.
The second largest MBA in Pennsylvania, the DeSales MBA offers nine concentrations and the opportunity to “self-design” a focus area. Options include Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Management, Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Management, Marketing, Project Management, and Supply Chain Management. A Dual Nurse Executive MSN/MBA is also available and may be completed online or in hybrid format.
The Business Programs at DeSales University are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
The School of Business at Saint Leo University offers a 36 credit hour MBA Program that may be completed entirely online. Students may start the program “at any of the six terms each year” and all students may participate in the Business Internship. In addition, students may pursue up to two MBA Concentrations concurrently. Options include Accounting, Health Care Management, Human Resource Management, Information Security Management, Marketing, Market Research and Social Media Analytics, Project Management, Sport Business and Supply Chain Global Integration Management.
The Sport Business Concentration is the first MBA Sport Business Program in the nation to be accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). The Saint Leo Online MBA Program (with concentrations) is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
