1. Villanova University, Villanova, Pennsylvania
The Villanova School of Business (VSB) at Villanova University offers a 48 credit hour Online MBA Program that consists of 21 courses taken over six semesters. The program requires “one intensive residency” in the first or second semester. The campus-based “Leadership Challenge” is a three-day residency that “provides an environment for students to engage in group work and begin to develop a learning community with their classmates.” An optional second residency is on the menu as well. Called “The Global Practicum,” this residency features an elective immersion in Dubai, United Emirates; Sydney, Australia; Milan Italy; Belgium and Poland, The European Union, or Shanghai and Beijing, The People’s Republic of China. A domestic option is available for students who are unable to travel.
While students are required to visit the campus once, all coursework for this AACSB accredited program is delivered online.
2. Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University offers a 33 credit hour Online MBA Program that may be completed over eight or 15-week semesters, with each semester broken into halves. Students may choose from ten majors such as Marketing, International Business, Finance, Health and Medical Services, or The Data Intelligent MBA. Sample course offerings for this AACSB accredited program include Global Revolutions in Business, Sustainability: A Business Perspective, Excellence in Organizations, Business Analytics, Ethical Practices in Business, Marketing Strategy, and Shareholder Value Management.
3. Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska
The Heider College of Business at Creighton University offers an 11 class, 33 credit hour MBA that may be completed 100% online. The program offers four specializations including Investments, Information Technology Management, Accounting, and Leadership. In addition to choosing a specialization, students have the option to combine campus-based and online courses or complete a dual degree program, which is also available 100% online. Dual options include the MBA/Master of Security Analysis and Portfolio Management (MSAPM) or MBA/MSAPM, and the Master of Science in Business Intelligence and Analytics (MS-BIA) or MBA/MS-BIA.
Both programs require 48 credit hours of study to graduate and they may be completed in just over two years. As part of the Heider College of Business, all Online MBA Programs are AACSB accredited.
4. University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania
The Kania School of Management at the University of Scranton offers a 36 credit hour Online MBA Program with six optional Specializations including Accounting, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Healthcare Management, Human Resources, International Business, and Operations Management. A General Management MBA is available for students seeking a broader degree and Online Certificates in Supply Chain Management, Health Administration, Health Informatics and ERP are also available.
The AACSB accredited program features one-on-one interaction with professors and classmates via email, online discussion, and virtual meetings. There are no required residencies, so the program and all of its components may be completed 100% online. Students can expect to complete the Online MBA Program in just two years “at a comfortable pace of one course per term.” Students also have the option to complete the program sooner by taking more than one course per term, with advisor approval.
The Kania Online MBA Program requires just three years of professional or supervisory work experience for acceptance and does not require any entrance exams like the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
5. St. Mary’s College of California, Moraga, California
St. Mary’s College of California (SMC) is home to the first EMBA Program in the Bay Area. This Hybrid Executive MBA Program (EMBA) may be completed in just 18 months and requires alternate Saturdays on campus, along with bi-weekly live web conferences. The program, which is offered in the Bay Area cities of Moraga and San Ramon, is centered on cohort-based collaborative learning and it highlights three broad areas including Analysis and Critical Thinking, Broad Functional Knowledge, and Responsible Leadership. The SMC EMBA Program is AACSB accredited.
6. Regis University, Denver, Colorado
The College of Business & Economics at Regis University offers a 36 credit hour Online MBA Program that allows students to choose between the General MBA Track and a career-specific specialization such as Finance and Accounting, Health Industry Leadership, Marketing, Operations Management or Strategic Management. Students may choose a dual specialization with just one course delivery format or combine them to meet their “personal needs and learning style.” Courses are taught in eight-week terms with start dates in January, March, May, June, August, and October.
Regis University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC), one of six regional higher education institutional accreditors in the United States.
7. Saint Leo University, Saint Leo, Florida
The School of Business at Saint Leo University offers a 36 credit hour MBA Program that may be completed 100% online. Students may start the IACBE accredited program “at any of the six terms each year,” and all students may participate in the business internship. In addition, students may pursue up to two concentrations concurrently. Options include Accounting, Health Care Management, Human Resource Management, Information Security Management, Marketing, Market Research and Social Media Analytics, Project Management, Risk Management, Sport Business and Supply Chain Global Integration Management.
The Sport Business Concentration is the first MBA Sport Business Program in the nation to be accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
8. University of St. Francis – Joliet, Illinois, Joliet, Illinois
University of St. Francis – Joliet, Illinois (USF) is home to The College of Business and Health Administration, which offers an MBA Program that may be completed 100% online. The program has eight concentration options including Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Health Administration, Human Resource Management, Transportation & Logistics, Management, and Training and Development. The program, which may be completed in 12 to 18 months, requires 36 semester hours of study including the MBA Core (12), Competency Area (12), and Concentration (12).
In addition to an MBA with eight concentrations, The College of Business and Health Administration offers second master’s degrees including Master of Science in Health Administration (MSHA) to MBA, Master of Science in Training and Development (MSTD) to MBA, and Master of Science in Management (MSM) to MBA. Graduate Certificates, which may be applied towards the MBA, are also available. Just a few include Business Analytics, Logistics, and Accounting. The Online MBA Program at USF is ACBSP accredited.
9. Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio
Walsh University is home to The DeVille School of Business, which offers an MBA Program that may be completed entirely online. The 36 credit hour program has four specialties including Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Management, Management, and Marketing. Other program highlights include both North Central Association and IACBE accreditation, accelerated (eight-week) course formats in several courses, small classes and individual faculty contact, a flexible class schedule for working adults, and the option to complete the program (in any specialty) in as few as 12 months. However, many students complete the program in two years.
10. Benedictine University, Lisle, Illinois
The Daniel L. Goodwin College of Business at Benedictine University offers an Online MBA Program that may be completed via the traditional one-course-at-a-time format or at an accelerated pace of two courses at a time. The traditional format takes as few as two years to complete and the accelerated pace may be completed in as little as one year. Concentration options for the programs include Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Managing Innovation, Financial Management, Health Administration, International Business, Internet Marketing, and Marketing Management. Students may also customize their own concentration.
In addition to an Online MBA with seven concentrations and two schedule options, Goodwin College of Business offers a Dual MBA/Master of Science (MS) in Management and Organizational Behavior that may be completed entirely online, which takes four years to complete, and a Graduate Certificate in Internet Marketing.
Benedictine University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and it is a member of The National Association of College and University Business Officers.
