Kansas is home to dozens of business schools that offer programs for students seeking anything from an undergraduate Certificate in Business Management to a Ph.D. in Business Administration. Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) offers an Online MBA Program that consists of 34 credit hours, with an additional 12 hours (four foundation courses) for students who do not have an undergraduate business degree. The program has 10 concentration options that are available online. Just a few include Finance, Information Assurance, International Business, Leadership Studies, Management Information Systems, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. The College of Business and Entrepreneurship is currently engaged in the AACSB accreditation process and the school’s Online MBA ranked #91 Nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
Kansas State University, Manhattan
Kansas State University (K-State) College of Business Administration offers a Professional MBA (PMBA) Online that prepares students to advance their careers in the corporate, financial and business sectors. This 30 to 39 credit hour program is designed for working professionals with pre-established business experience, so it requires just 10% face-to-face time. Besides earning AACSB accreditation, the K-State PMBA program ranked #95 Nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
Emporia State University, Emporia
The School of Business at Emporia State University (ESU) offers a 36 credit hour MBA Program that may be completed entirely online. The ESU MBA has two concentration options including Accounting and Information Systems. Besides earning AACSB accreditation, the Online MBA program at ESU ranked in the Top 20 Nationally by Affordable Colleges Online and #110 Nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
Ottawa University, Ottawa
The Angell Snyder School of Business at Ottawa University (OU) offers an Online MBA Program with eight optional concentrations including Finance, Health Care Management, Leadership Development, Marketing, Population Health Management, Human Resources, School Business Operations, and Strategic Innovation. The program, which ranked #115 Nationally by U.S. News & World Report, is ACBSP accredited.
Baker University, Baldwin City
The Online MBA at Baker University is a 39 credit hour program that takes just 22 months to complete. Concentration options include Finance, Health Care Administration, and Human Resources. The majors of Accounting, Business, and International Business offered at the College of Arts and Sciences in Baldwin City are fully accredited at the national level by ACBSP. The ACBSP accreditation is limited to degree programs offered on the Baldwin City campus.
Friends University, Wichita
Friends University offers a Professional MBA with six concentrations. Options include Accounting, Business Analytics, Change Management, Healthcare Leadership, Management Information Systems, and Supply Chain Management and Logistics. A Global MBA is also available and requires a business residency abroad. Students in this program may select one of the six concentrations listed above. Friends University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
Southwestern College, Winfield
The School of Business & Technology at Southwestern College offers an Online MBA Program that consists of 30 credit hours. An optional Finance Specialization is available. According to the school, the program “emphasizes broad knowledge and skills in business leadership and management, organizational character development and ethical behavior, and global and regional strategy development and execution.” Southwestern College is HLC accredited.
Tabor College, Hillsboro
Ranked #2 among the 50 Most Affordable Online MBA Programs by Best Value MBA, the Tabor College MBA is a 36 credit hour program that may be completed in less than 24 months. The program offers two emphasis options including Leadership or Sales Management. Courses in the program are intensive and students complete each one in eight weeks. Students may transfer up to six credit hours and the graduate admissions test is not required. Tabor College is HLC accredited is a member of the NCA.
University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, Overland Park
University of St. Mary (USM) offers an Online MBA Program that may be completed in as little as one year. Offered through the Leavenworth and Overland Park campuses, the 36 credit hour program has nine concentration options including Accounting, Finance, General Management, Health Care Management, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Organizational Health, Marketing and Advertising Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Sport Administration. Courses for the program are offered in accelerated eight-week sessions and the school offers six opportunities each year to begin the degree. In addition to the online format, students may complete the USM MBA program in hybrid format (a combination of online and face-to-face classes. The USM Online MBA is IACBE accredited.
University of Kansas, Lawrence
The School of Business at University of Kansas (KU) offers a 100% Online MBA Program that takes just two years to complete. The 42 credit hour program consists of 14 courses with three focus areas including Finance, Marketing, and Management & Leadership. Students also have the option to earn a Graduate Certificate in one of eight areas. With the exception of Business Analytics (12 credits), Certificates are 10 credit hours. Options include Business Analytics, Foundations of Business, Human Resource Management, International Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, and Supply Chain Management. This AACSB accredited program highlights an “eight weeks per course” schedule and three starts per year in Spring, Summer and Fall.
