The Global MBA (GMBA) is one of the most in-demand degrees in the business world today. According to University of Houston – Victoria (UHV), this focused program “prepares students with the business competencies, cultural skills, and global mindset essential in today's international business environment.” Graduates of GMBA programs can expect job offers in a range of leadership roles at a variety of major multinational companies.
While the Global MBA is common at business schools across Europe and Asia, it might take a little digging to find a program in the U.S. that focuses solely on global business, specifically one that is offered online. - Friends University, Wichita, Kansas

- University of Houston – Victoria, Victoria, Texas
- University of Kansas, School of Business, Lawrence, Kansas

The Global MBA Program at Indiana University (IU) is a unique collaboration between the Kelley School of Business and University of Manchester’s Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS). Known as the Kelley-Manchester Global MBA, the school says that the program prepares students to “lead a multinational business” in just two years.
This hybrid online program consists of one six-day orientation at the Kelley School of Business campus and four to six days of face-to-face study during semesters one, two, and four. Half of the courses can be completed online, with the entire third semester delivered online. Sample courses for the program include:

Students in the program have the unique opportunity to “study alongside dynamic minds from across the globe and make valuable contacts,” says the school, with workshop residencies at a choice of AMBS six global centers including Dubai, Hong Kong, Manchester, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, and Singapore. In addition, exclusive to the Kelley-Manchester GMBA, students have the opportunity to study in Bloomington, Indiana and Washington, D.C.
In D.C., students may complete a five-day residential workshop titled “Washington Campus Public Policy Education.” This is one of seven popular elective options.

Students who choose a concentration will complete 76 quarter credit hours. Those without a concentration will complete 60 quarter credit hours.

The ExcelTrack is designed to “allow students with applicable skills, professional experience, and self-direction to accelerate their pace toward earning their degree,” says the school. “There are no required weekly assignments or class hours per course—just one final comprehensive project. Students can skip material they know and focus on what they need to learn to master course outcomes.” This allows students to graduate faster and for less money.
The Accelerated Program is designed for graduates of the University’s BS in Business Administration Program. Students can waive up to 20 credit hours and complete the Online GMBA in (much) less time.
