1. University of Wisconsin (Consortium), Eau Claire, La Crosse, Oshkosh, Parkside, Wisconsin
The University of Wisconsin Consortium MBA program is offered entirely online, and features “content-integrated, theme-based modules rather than traditional stand-alone courses.” The 30-credit-hour program is designed for working professionals looking to advance in their respective career fields. The online format allows students to continue working while completing their program within two to three years, once foundation requirements have been met.
In addition to completing a mandatory Leadership “mini-module” that occurs concurrently with “Developing New Products and Services,” Consortium MBA students may choose 13 credits of electives relevant to their goals. Electives are offered in the areas of Accounting & Finance, Healthcare, Information Technology, Management, and Marketing. Students also have the option of earning a 13-credit online certificate that can be applied towards the schools MBA program course prerequisites.
The University of Wisconsin (Consortium) MBA is AACSB International-accredited.
2. Pepperdine University, Malibu, California
The Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University offers an online MBA program that features four elective concentrations. Students may choose between Finance, General Management, Leadership and Managing Organizational Change, and Marketing. Accredited by AACSB International, the 52-credit-hour program takes as little as two years to complete.
3. Marist College, Poughkeepsie, New York
Marist College offers a 30-credit-hour online MBA with four concentration options. MBA concentrations include Ethical Leadership, Financial Management, Healthcare Administration, and International Business. Students in the program communicate with faculty and fellow classmates via telephone, email, video conferences, and through VoIP (Voice over IP). The program is offered in an asynchronous format, so there are no specific sign-on times each week.
Accredited by AACSB International, the online MBA at Marist College may take as little as four years to complete (full-time) and up to seven years (part-time).
4. Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas
The College of Business at Fort Hays State University (FHSU) offers a 34-credit-hour MBA that may be completed 100% online. This means there are no residency requirements and students can complete their degree on their own time either full-time or part-time. The program also offers the option to sit out a semester or two—if needed.
The online MBA at FHSU offers nearly a dozen concentrations from Finance, Marketing, and Information Assurance to Health & Human Performance/Sports Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management. Students with an undergraduate degree in business administration may complete the online FHSU MBA degree in as little as two years. Students with a non-business background will have to complete up to 47 credit-hours, which will take longer to complete.
5. Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont
The College of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Norwich University offers a 36-credit-hour online MBA program that takes as few as 18 months to complete. The online MBA offers four concentrations including Finance, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, and Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the Norwich online MBA offers also offers four start dates per year including March, June, September, and December.
6. Brenau University, Gainesville, Georgia
Brenau University offers a 45-credit-hour MBA program that may be completed 100% online or via a blended format. The program offers nine concentrations including Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, Insurance, Management, Marketing, and Project Management. The Finance concentration leads to a MBA + a Certificate in Finance. Concentration courses for the blended format are offered primarily online, with core course availability online or on campus.
The business programs at Brenau University are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
7. Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia
The School of Business at Liberty University offers a 36-credit-hour and 45-credit-hour MBA program. Both programs may be completed entirely online. Students can expect an eight-week online format that allows them to complete their MBA "any time during the week, day or night, with no required log-in times," according to the school. Students have 10 concentration options to choose from including Accounting, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Management, Human Resources, International Business, Leadership, Marketing, Project Management, Public Administration, and Public Relations. The ACBSP-accredited MBA program at Liberty University may be completed within five years.
8. Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri
The George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology offers a 36-credit-hour MBA program and a 42-credit-hour MBA-Global Track. Add an emphasis area, and the credit requirements increase to 48 credit hours, up to 54. According to the school, the MBA-Global Track “combines core MBA coursework with internationally focused coursework including at least one international experience course.” The 36-credit-hour MBA may be completed in one year (accelerated option) and offers more than a dozen unique emphasis areas. Emphasis options include:
Business and Organizational Security Management, Decision Support Systems, Environmental Management, Finance, Gerontology, Human Resources Development, Human Resources Management, Information Technology Management, International Business, International Relations, Management and Leadership, Marketing, Media Communications, Procurement and Acquisitions Management or Web Services.
The MBA and MBA-Global Track programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and may be completed entirely online.
9. Post University, Woodbury, Connecticut
The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University offers a 45-credit-hour MBA program with a concentration in Leadership. The program, which may be completed entirely online, offers “highly interactive classes in eight-week modules, six times a year,” making it easier for students to complete their MBA in 36 months. The online MBA in Leadership is ACBSP-accredited.
10. Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia
The School of Leadership and Business at Regent University offers an ACBSP-accredited online MBA program that may be completed in as little as 16 months. The 42-credit-hour program features majors in Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance & Investing, Franchising, General Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, Leadership, and Marketing. Students will complete the MBA requirements over two 8-week sessions offered each fall, spring, and summer. While coursework for the MBA may be completed online, students may participate in an optional two-day, on-campus residency which provides face-to-face interaction with faculty and peers.
11. University of La Verne, La Verne, California
The College of Business and Public Management (CBPM) at the University of La Verne offers an MBA that may be completed online, on ground, or a combination of both. According to CBPM, the 36-credit-hour program “is structured to assist students in the transition from theory to practice, so students can capitalize on their investment immediately, as well as through their careers.” At this time, the online option offers one concentration: Management & Leadership.
The University of La Verne is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
12. Saint Joseph’s College, Standish, Maine
Saint Joseph’s College offers a 42-credit-hour Leadership MBA (LMBA) that may be completed entirely online. Students can expect to engage in a wide range of leadership courses such as Quality Leadership, Cross-Cultural Leadership, Strategic Leadership of Human Capital, Self-Leadership, and more. Courses are offered in either 10-week online terms or five-week online/executive summer weekend terms. While campus visits are not required, students are encouraged to take advantage of optional campus visits which can “fast-track degree completion to as little as 18 months.”
Saint Joseph's College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
13. University of Findlay, Findlay, Ohio
The University of Findlay offers a 33-credit-hour online MBA program that features several concentrations leading to an additional certificate + six optional second concentrations. Students may choose between the CMA Track (Certified Management Accountant), the CPA Track (Certified Public Accountant), CPA Qualified, Health Care Management, Hospitality Management or Organizational Leadership. Optional second concentrations include Athletic Administration, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing, and Operations Management. According to Findlay Online, the accelerated online MBA format features “courses in eight-week blocks, with two successive blocks compromising a semester.”
All University of Findlay business programs are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
14. University of Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland
The Merrick School of Business at University of Baltimore is home to the city’s only online MBA accredited by AACSB International. The 36- to 39-credit-hour program offers 10 specialization areas including Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Health-Care Management, International Business, Leadership and Organizational Learning, Management Information Systems, Marketing, and Public-Sector Management. According the school, students may also customize their specialization or “complete the entire flexible core by completing all eight courses.” Courses for the program are offered in "seven-week 'bite-sized' sessions and in traditional 15-week sessions." Students can expect to complete the program in as few as 18 months.
15. Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona
The College of Business at Grand Canyon University (GCU) offers a number of MBA degrees for aspiring business professionals of all kinds. Students may opt for the General MBA, which consists of 34 credit-hours of study or add an additional eight credits to earn an MBA emphasis in one of six areas. Emphasis areas include Accounting, Finance, Health Systems Management, Leadership, Marketing, and Strategic Human Resource Management. An additional 46-credit-hour MBA program is available for students that have not met prerequisite requirements, as well as a Dual MBA/MS in Leadership. The ACBSP-accredited MBA programs at GCU may be completed entirely online in as little as 18 to 23 months
16. Western Governors University, Salt Lake City, Utah
Western Governors University (WGU) offers several MBA programs that may be completed entirely online. Offerings include the General MBA (34 credit hours), the MBA with an IT Management emphasis (35 credit hours), and the Healthcare MBA (36 credit hours). Coursework for each program takes place during three to four terms. Each term is a full six months in length and students may complete as much of their degree as possible during each term. The MBA programs at WGU may be completed in a few as 18 months to two years.
Western Governors University is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
17. Tiffin University, Tiffin, Ohio
The School of Business at Tiffin University offers a 36-credit-hour MBA program with available concentrations in Finance, General Management, Healthcare Administration, Human Resource Management, International Business, Leadership, Marketing, and Sport Management. The MBA program can be completed entirely online and it is delivered in a flexible asynchronous format. This means, students do not have to be online at a certain time. Many students complete their MBA degree in as little as 18 months.
The online MBA programs at Tiffin University are authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
18. University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, Dartmouth, Massachusetts
The Charlton College of Business (CCB) offers a 30-credit-hour MBA program that may be completed entirely online. The MBA program offers 10 concentrations, plus an individualized option that allows students to choose any three electives in the MBA program. However, just four options are currently available online. Online options include Organizational Leadership, Environmental Policy, International Business Option, and Sustainable Development. Students have the option to concentrate in two areas.
As part of the Charlton College of Business at UMass Dartmouth, the Online MBA program is fully accredited by AACSB International.
19. University of Mary, Bismarck, North Dakota
The Gary Tharaldson School of Business at the University of Mary offers an online MBA with
six focus areas. Options include the Executive MBA (for students interested in Leadership), Accountancy, Energy Management, Health Care, Human Resource Management, and Management. The online MBA program is delivered in an accelerated format or students may choose the blended format, with a combination of on-site and online courses. The online accelerated format allows students to complete the MBA program in as few as 18 months.
As part of the Gary Tharaldson School of Business at the University of Mary, the online MBA program is fully accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
20. Baker College, Flint, Michigan
Baker College offers an online MBA with 10 areas of specialization. Options include Leadership Studies, Educational Leadership: Higher Education, Accounting, Business Intelligence, Finance, General Business, Health Care Management, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, and Marketing. Depending on the area of concentration, students can expect to complete 49 or 53 credit hours of coursework to complete their specific program.
The online MBA program at Baker College is fully accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
21. Belhaven University, Jackson, Mississippi
The School of Business at Belhaven University offers an online MBA program that features four concentrations. Options include Leadership, Sports Administration, Human Resources, and Health Administration. Classes for the 36-credit-hour program are delivered in “manageable” eight-week terms and students can expect to complete the program in less than two years.
The online MBA program at Belhaven University is fully accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
22. Charleston Southern University, North Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston Southern University’s School of Business offers an MBA program with options in Leadership, Finance or Management Information Systems. The 33-credit-hour program consists of a core curriculum, quasi-core, general elective or law and emphasis electives. Students may complete the program entirely online or through blended courses (online and on-campus). The online MBA program at Charleston Southern University is fully accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
23. Excelsior College, Albany, New York
The School of Business and Technology at Excelsior College offers an online MBA with seven optional concentrations. Options include Leadership, Cybersecurity Management (new), Health Care Management (new), Human Performance Technology, Human Resource Management (new), Social Media Management (new), and Technology Management. Students may be required to take anywhere from 33 to 48 credit hours to complete the program. However, the online MBA program has been restructured recently, which allows students to waive up to 15 credits of foundation requirements through exams. Students may also apply up to 24 credits that they have already earned toward the degree.
The online MBA program at Excelsior College is fully accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
24. Indiana Tech, Fort Wayne, Indiana
The College of Business at Indiana Tech offers an online MBA with five concentrations including Management (students interested in leadership may choose this option), Accounting, Healthcare Management, Human Resources, and Marketing. The 42-credit-hour program may take two years or more to complete. Indiana Tech is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
25. Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, Ohio
Ohio Dominican University offers an online MBA with an optional concentration in Leadership. The 36-credit-hour program can be completed in as few as 16 months or students may take up to two years (or more) to complete it. According to the school, the program is delivered over five 8-week sessions throughout the year and the non-cohort based format keeps the program flexible to fit students’ schedules. The online MBA program at Ohio Dominican University is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP).
